Dr. Angela Aitken, PT, DPT, B.S. Health Science
A Health & Lifestyle Coach, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Health Scientist, Angela is a long-time believer in the power of natural therapies and living a healthy lifestyle for preventive and restorative health.
Though she's always been health-minded, when she was in her mid-30's she experienced a "health crash" that led her to re-evaluate and research what she thought she knew about health.
Angela was able to fully recover from HPA axis dysfunction (formerly known as adrenal fatigue), panic attacks, Lyme disease, mold illness, SIBO, EBV and other co-infections using evidence-based natural therapies. Without turning to modern medicine. While it wasn't an easy journey, she is grateful for the experience as it led to being able to better help other women who are going through similar issues.
Dr. Angela has expanded her skillset to include a life-changing blend of lifestyle medicine, nutrition, movement medicine, natural remedies, and hands-on therapies for whole restorative health. Because you really can't exercise, medicate, or supplement your way out of an unhealthy lifestyle. So even though Angela is a trained and licensed physical therapist, she realizes the limitations of trying to treat chronic issues with exercise alone. It can help for sure, but it's not going to bring the true, deep, lasting healing women need.
Her work has been featured in the HuffPost, and she has also published and presented state-approved professional-level continuing education courses for physical therapists & health and fitness professionals.
She, her husband, and three home-educated children live a life of DIY health and home renovation projects in Ooltewah, TN.
"Angela is one of the brightest, most forward-thinking physical therapists I know. She does her research and really knows her 'stuff,' and I always learn something from her. You can rest assured that you are getting a strategized and well thought out plan with Angela"
